Elegant Living Magazine
Elegant Living, Frederick County at its finest, was born out of a partnership with The Herald-Mail in Hagerstown, making its debut in the spring of 2007 to thousands of area households and select businesses. Published quarterly, individual issues showcase interesting people, places, businesses and events in Frederick County. For recent arrivals to the area, the magazine is a way to become better acquainted with your new home. For those born and raised here, Elegant Living may help to shed new light on facets of the county you have grown to know and love.

Whether it's an organized farmers
market with an opening bell and the
same vendors each week, or a grower selling
his or her crops from a roadside
wagon, Frederick County residents have
ample opportunity to be part of the eating
local movement. The thriving markets
also reinforce that Frederick is predominantly
an agricultural county.
The county is
up to nine markets, with the oldest being
operated every
Saturday at the Frederick Fairgrounds.
Market master Rob Fogle said people are frequenting
the more than 30-year old
market because they want locally
